To add an image component to your level, select the ‘Add Image’ button in the Toolbox. A form similar to the one seen below will appear.
Insert a name for your image component in the ‘Component Name’ field. The component name should be unique.
NOTE: A 'component' refers to any object in your level such as an image or text.
Then, set the image’s position according to X and Y coordinates. If you wish, you can drag the image component to any position in the Visual Level Designer (VLD) after you have inserted the image component into the level.
Select the image file from your PC local storage. Supported formats include PNG, JPG and BMP.
Select ‘OK’ and your image will be added to the VLD as below.
Remember, you can place components anywhere in your level by dragging and dropping them, as seen below.
You can also modify the X/Y coordinates of your components by selecting your component and pressing the arrows keys on your keyboard, or by amending the X/Y fields above the VLD, as seen below:
